The purpose of this chart is to give us some common terminology, to make sure that we can identify how a possible piece of professional development could best fit in an online setting. It also gives us a chance to broaden our thought on the ways we could implement something.

So therefore, if team member X comes to us and says "We really need to do some training or professional development on Y", we can have a structured conversation about what would be the best forum for that to take place. It might lead to comments like "Hey, I never thought about Y being done as a tutorial or with videoconferencing..."
